Since 1946, the Festival was organized to encourage, develop and improve the performance of young musicians and dancers through professional adjudication and aid young people to study music and the arts. Entrants in the Festival receive an individual written and oral evaluation of their performance by qualified teachers and concert artists. The public is welcome to enjoy over 1,000 performances by varying age and skill levels Sunday through Friday on Gonzaga University campus and learn from the adjudicators' comments and master teaching.
